I designed the proposed development at 25 Bournemouth Road, which involves transforming the existing premises into a dedicated office for Southwark Council’s public-facing Housing Option Services.
Design Intent
The design focuses on creating a welcoming, accessible, and efficient environment for residents seeking housing advice, assistance, and solutions. The space is intended to function as a central hub where members of the public can meet with council staff to discuss housing options, tenancy issues, and related support services.
My Role
I was responsible for developing the overall spatial layout, functionality, and design concept, ensuring the facility aligns with Southwark Council’s operational needs and promotes comfort, inclusivity, and clear wayfinding for visitors. The design balances professionalism and approachability, reflecting the council’s commitment to community support and transparency.
